ICE STORM 2009

One reason I love living in Arkansas is the weather change. Around here they say if you don't like the weather stick around it will change. We get all the season (fall is the best) and I love rain which we get lots of. We knew there was a storm coming but I don't think anyone thought that it was going to be as bad as it was. Its crazy to have to call in to work because you can't get your car out of the drive way because the road is covered in an inch of ice. The rain started coming down about 2pm on Monday 1-26-09 and didn't stop until Wednesday night 1-28-09. We had rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain, lightning and freezing fog (yes fog). Everyone was told to leave work at 3:30pm on Monday because the weather was getting so bad. Thousands of people lost power and tree branches covered the roads, I have never seen anything like it.

I've been trying to teach him to say mommy, I know only four months old but I thought I would get a head start hoping that his first word will be mommy. He must think the way my mouth moves when I say it is funny because everytime I say mommy he laughs, it's so cute.

Today our little man is 4 months old and getting so big. It seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. I can't believe how fast time is going by. I want him to stay little forever but I know that's not going to happen. I never thought that I could love someone so much and would do anything to make him happy. He is the best thing in this world.

I told my mom I would send her a new picture of Zack every day via e-mail so she can watch him change. I thought it would be much easier to just post a picture every day, that way everyone back home can watch my little man grow. I know I am missing a few days(I'm kind of upset about that) but from here on out I'm going to do my best to take at least one picture every day. I can't believe he will be 4 months old in a few days.

Today Jose and I were talking and he said what are you going to do the day Zack tells us we are going to be grandparents... okay I know it's a long long ways away but it's still crazy to think about. Right now I'm just trying to take everything in and remember as much as I can because he's not going to be little forever.

Christmas 2008

I have never missed a Christmas with my family and living in Arkansas is not going to stop me. This year was special, Zacks Grandpa, Uncle, Great Grandma and Cousins had never met. This was also Zacks first plane ride all the way to California. It was a wonderful Christmas, I just wish it could have lasted a little longer. Grandma fed Zack cereal for the first time on Dec. 26th, he is growing up too fast.
